3 Before Testing
3.1 Prepare Battery
Step 1: Connect the green male wire (notch aligned) to green port on the battery.
Step 2: Do the same for the red wire and port on amplifier.
The battery must stay pluged in all the time when not in use.
3.2 Turn on Participant Cabin Monitor
Power button is a small, hard-to-find front-bottom right button (not on back).
3.3 Power on the Task Laptop and EEG Tower
Step 1: Log into the Admin account on the EEG Tower and task laptop (password: 4073abc).
Step 2: On the Tower: Launch BrainVision Recorder (click “Yes” when prompted).
Step 3: When the program is open, you should see a gray screen.
3.4 Prepare EEG Gel Syringes
The syringes are stored under the sink inside boxes.
The gel tub, tips box, Q-tips, scissors, and tissues are kept on the shelf next to the sink.
Step 1: Take out the syringes and the tips from their packaging.
Step 2: Fill two syringes with gel.
Step 3: Close the gel tub immediately to prevent drying.
Step 4: Attach the tips to the filled syringes.
Step 5: Cut one of the Q-tips ends with the scissors.
Step 6: Place two tissues and two Q-tips on the cabin bed in preparation for the participant.
